What are zoos doing to help?
Zoos Victoria do a lot to help Orangutans, as well as other endangered species. Zoos Victoria has started a campaign called 'Don't Palm us Off'. Don't Palm us Off is trying to make labelling of palm oil compulsery to all food products, so that Australians can make an informed decision about what they want to buy. Don't Palm us Off had already gathered more than 160,000 petition signatures for palm oil to be labelled, increased the availability of orang-utan friendly products and many more things. They are still campaigning to raise awareness of palm oil and change the food labelling legislation for Australia and New Zealand. Please support this campaign!
